On 26th June 2015 MGP was invited to express Consumer's view point before the Parliamentary select Committee (Rajya Sabha) on Real Estate Bill 2013.   The studied, detailed power point presentation BY MGP Chairman Adv. Shirish Deshpande was well received by the Select Committee. MGP was the only organization at this forum which made clause by clause presentation and urged for further amendments in this  Real Estate Bill of 2013. The Select Committee which comprised of 16 member-MPs appreciated and deliberated on a few points raised by MGP.

MGP's Internship Programme For 60 Law Students

MGP proposal to create a permanent mechanism to  oversee implementation of UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection has  beenaccepted by UNCTAD meeting held in Geneva on 9th July, 2015After lots of  deliberations over last 3 years and several changes / modifications, hardnegotiations and lobbying, MGP proposal to oversee implementation of UNGuidelines for Consumer Protection has been finally accepted by UNCTAD in ameeting held in Geneva on 9th July, 2015.  MGP was the first consumer organization to  suggest review and revision of these guidelines in March, 2012 meeting of  UNCTAD.  MGP also suggested for permanentmechanism to ensure proper implementation of these guidelines afterrevision.  Though Consumers Internationalinitially opposed it, finally agreed to implement the same.  Now it will go to UN General Assembly for itsfinal formal approval in December, 2015.
